The Curve (a huge shopping complex) lives up to it's name for being... well, not Straight.
Armed with a map detailing every single route to the destination, motivated by the fact that I went there for the first time without any trouble, I drove confidently to the Curve.
"Oh, I missed this turn. Nevermind, I can go for another route."
"Oh, shoot! I'm supposed to U-turn! Oh well, I'll just have to brave through the traffic jam and go a huge round."
"Oh my god! I'm supposed to turn left. Now I had to do a dangerous U-turn (turn-reverse-turn) "
Since I started my journey (very) early, anticipating the harbinger of getting lost on the way, I managed to reach the Curve at 7pm. Then, I began freaking out. I'm gonna meet so many (gay) strangers at 7.30pm as we're having a fairwell dinner for Mrbunnyban who's going to leave for Australia in Mid-July. Now I have done everything I could to alleviate my ugliness.
Facial - checked
Lip moisturizer - checked
Bright-coloured shirt that makes me look not so skinny, i hope - checked
Walking around Borders got myself calm, cool and collected. I even read a few pages of the book titled " How To Deal With People". I know I need only one reason not to panic --- I do wanna meet these bloggers, seeing their (true) face behind the blog that I had been reading since last year.
So, I'm there, joining 11 gay men. There were Paul and Leggie (who looked like brothers, ironically), Derek and Joshua (whom I have met before this dinner), Alex and Xavier (the two legendary gay roomates), Chris ( Derek's bf), Defiant and his Mcdave, Silentside and of course, our main character, Mrbunnyban !!!
I ordered a set, unbeknownst to the fact that I'd need a certain supernatural power to squeze the whole course of meal into my stomach. I was absolutely stuffed with the food and had to have my dessert packed as there's no way I could gobble it up without vomitting it back out. Xavier seemed to have the supernatural power though. The way he wolfed down the dessert was quite pornographic anyway, as pointed out by Defiant.
Time flew by as we were yakking ever so loudly that I believed everyone in the restaurant doesn't need a gaydar to know who we are. It does not help that there are 3 couples among us who were um... stuck to each other like couples.
Paul and Leggie left (together) earlier. And I bid goodbye hastily as I realized it was way past midnight when Xavier, Alex and Joshua are leaving.
A 'blur' guy like me driving in the dead of night? Not good. However, as I was overwhelmed by trepidation, I became less 'blur' and managed to get through without a scratch and put up a post here. I wanted to post this as soon as possible because there'll be another post about my movie outing tomorrow (or should it be today?) , with another bunch of bloggers that I have not met yet!
Hmmm...... *still proud of being able to drive safely late at night
Oh wait, I forgot to take the packed chocolate cake home.
T_T
I'm SOooo condemned to being 'blur'.
Now I can only look at the picture. Sigh.

Awe.. you couldn't have your cake and eat it too Harvey! Were you the rookie of the group then and nobody played any initiation tricks on ya? Good to know you're all decent fellas.
idiot with an opinion: and to think I was almost able to meet you. Sigh~ Haha, don't worry, what about the Malaysia Bloggers meet organized by Lois? Do you think you can make it?
lawboycool: Thanks, yeah, it's interesting to know how BLUR I am.
savante: Yeah, we all were so full except Xavier.
defiant85: Well, at least the cake is not wasted.
joshua: Yeah, I'm "blessed" (cursed) with the superpower of divine BLurness,
ceusm: Don't worry, there's still Bloggers meet. ^_^
Xavier: No la, it's not sinful. Leaving it there uneaten is. Haha, it's not sinful to enjoy life's simple pleasure.
Anniie: Nobody played intiation tricks on me because I'm not attractive. BTW I'm not the youngest in the group. Silentside is.

alex: Yeah, it's really nice to meet you all. I afraid I am condemned to being blur, though. It's not something I can totally change, you know, no matter how hard I try. It's like, a permanent part of my personality already. Sigh. T_T
Derek: Wow, you've been a great godfather for me. Thank you so much. haha. :) Hope to see you soon too. (I AM going to S'pore again anyway)
