Singapore, Here I Cum! (Part 3)

Oh, haven't masturbated for so many days. I feel so strange now.

Hello, greetings from Singapore!

I went to Night Safari that Saturday night and it wasn't long before I forgot my 'loneliness' as I was surronded by so many animals. It wasn't hard to believe that this is Singapore's number 1 tourist attraction. The concept is pretty simple actually, put drains and glass planes instead of cages to seclude the animals in one area and dim the light, so that we humans can look at them at a closer distance without the animals noticing. The atmosphere was like Survivor when we first entered. We wacthed the Animal Show and explored the safari by tram ride and on foot along some of the walking trails. There were lots of (boring) deers and birds. The only animals which were interesting are the tigers, hyena and the babi rusa (pig deer, a wild pig with curly tusks). Oh, and I was so close to the bats that I could almost smell their breath.

After the Night Safari visit I didn't do anything else except shopping, sleeping and blogging. I spent the whole of Sunday sleeping as I was exhausted the day before. In the weekdays my sis and her bf went working, leaving me, myself and I. And I got into a routine:

Morning: Wake up when I can't sleep anymore, go out to have breakfast, then starts blogging.

Afternoon: Go out to have lunch, and go shopping. There are so many shopping complexes to go to through the train.

Night: Have dinner with my sis and her bf. Watch tv and sleep.

I felt like living in my own home in Malaysia, except that I have more places to go. Despite being gay, shopping is not really my cup of tea, but being in Singapore, the shopping heaven, I can't help but to shop around. I didn't shop for clothes though, as I prefer window-shopping at the electronics store. And I am frugal, I don't like to spend my dad's money on those expensive stuff. I always feel a little bit of guilt after buying something which lessens the weight of my wallet. Well...... yeah, I don't like spending money..... honest! (Please ignore the fact that the blogger managed to spend an average of 60 dollars per day in Singapore)

Oooh, it's the afternoon now. Time to go shop.

Au revoir.

Wah, go to Night Safari... Once Art told me that he went there just to see buffalo. Ha ha... Many Thais surprised to see that Singapore put buffaloes in the zoo, just like they put banana trees in the Singapore Zoo. Ha ha

60 dollars a day? Hmmm... still a lot to me. I used to go there once and I only spent less than 30 dollars a day... Still i prefer shopping in KL because the stuff there are quite similar. If the price is almost the same, I would buy it here, at least can help to boast our own economy.

No doubt stuff like iPod is cheaper in Singapore.

Any comments on the food? Ha ha... Singapore food sucks... Imagine you eat wanton mee with tomato ketchup and dry keow teow with sweet sauce... Amazing Singapore Food!

Xavier: Aiya, I'm going home tonight. I don't feel like shopping because my wallet is SOoo underweight now. I may go to Singapore again. Tell me what CDs you'd like.

idiot with an opinion: This is not a competition, is it? (Harvey's competitive streak rearing its ugly head)

Bryan : There was a huge deer which looked like buffalo, but it's a deer.
Heh, I exagerated a bit, but I spent so much money as I bought a microphone, a bag and a graphic card, not to mention the train tickets, the 3 meals, and my prepaid no. In safari, I forked out 50 dollars for the dinner because the others were short of cash and until now they didn't return me the money and I don't feel like getting it back. Well, that's the details of my spending.
I only eat at the foodstalls near my sis's house. The food was okay, and pretty much Malaysian but I didn't like the curry laksa with raw(hardly cooked) cockles, and prawn mee with pork soup.

ceusm: Oooh, so you're in Johor now. Well, you can go there anytime you want oso.

CTG: It's always warm here, whether in Malaysia or Singapore, except when it rains. Thanks for the link. ^^

Wow, the blogosphere can be so happening. I've just replied to the comments and eh, there's one extra comment from life cafez that I missed. Thanks everyone, I love your comments.

Life Cafez: Thanks, yeah, I only bought things that I need. I haven't tried much, but I think Singaporean food is just like the alternate version of Malaysian food, only more expensive. I still prefer my Pasar Malam food, cheap and nice. Hehe.

It's those puppy eyes Harvey, they're quite endearing. Cheap food.. There're just two words that come to mind: TACO BELL.
Thanks for posting on my blog too Harvey.. with your crazy schedule I just don't know where you find the time!

Woah TACO BELL! I miss TACO BELL. Wonder why they don't bring Taco Bell to KL. S'pore got Taco Bell ah?

Harv, don't forget out date on Sunday ok!

aiskrem_potong: No, I 'm not really a good son as I'm rude to my parents. :(

Anniie: For me, cheap food is synonymous to Economic Rice! It's common especially among the chinese community. If you consider in terms of US dollar, a plate of rice with assorted vegetables and meat is only around 1 dollar in Malaysia and you'll be so full after eating it. How cheap is that? My schedule is crazy such that I have too much free time to do whatever I want, including visiting your blog. ^^

hafiz hector: I didn't see Taco Bell, but I had Mos burger with Derek that day. Very expensive but yummy. Yes, of course, how can I forget our date to ogle at Brandon Routh together. *drools

Annie said...

HA! I think I can beat $1. Yeah, ok Rice is pretty cheap. TACO BELL: 39 cents for a green chili burrito.. you eat two of those and you'll sure to feel full and maybe feel some digestive problems as well. Rice is probably better to stick with if you're like health conscious and shit.

Harvey said...

Rice is a staple food for Asians, we eat rice everyday and go for noodles when we are bored. But wow, I can't believe there's cheaper food in the US! Thanks for the tip. My sister had to order the kid's meal there and it still costed a bomb.
